And in just a few steps, you can quickly establish a content marketing plan to guide your marketing efforts. And can help you to establish a creative, invaluable, and unique online presence.

1. Find Your Audience

First of all, start blasting your content into the virtual world, you need to consider who you want to target. Even more, the audience should include your primary customer base, but you should also think about ways to reach new consumers through content. Dream big: What does your ideal audience look like? Where do they spend time online?

Content Marketing

2. Learn Audience Patterns

Once you’ve determined who you want to target, the next step is finding out where – and how – they spend their time. By learning more about their patterns and interests, you’ll be better able to make a strong impact. Explore social media networks where your target audience is active, and ensure you have active profiles on those sites. Fill your content with SEO-rich keywords that target your exact audience base. Make sure that any SEO tactics you employ are organic – both search engines and consumers are becoming more difficult to fool.

Content Marketing

3. Set Goals for Content

What are the aims of your content marketing plan? Do you want to increase your customer base by 20%? Attract a younger demographic? Build your social media followers? If you spend some time now articulating your aims, you’ll have a much better sense of what kind of content you should focus on. And, the more concrete your goals are, the easier it will be to act on them.

Content Marketing

4. Define Content

Now that you have a target audience and clear goals, make sure that all of your content aims to check those boxes and yield positive results. You want to meet the needs of your audience while also producing content that has integrity and will build your brand’s profile and reputation. Your content should also help define the “voice” of your brand, be it professional, off-the-cuff, quirky, etc.

Content Marketing

5. Set a Content Schedule

A strong editorial calendar will make it much easier for you to manage your content marketing plan on a day-to-day level. You should aim to map out your content 6 to 12 months in advance (leaving room for flexibility, of course!). Think about how to time-peg your content to important company events, such as sales or product launches. In addition, map out major holidays and think about how your content might capitalize on these. You’ll also want to build in room for evergreen content, which is more shareable and has a longer shelf-life.

Content Marketing

6. Start Writing!

You’re ready! Now get to work. Bonus tip: once you’ve created your killer content, we’ve collected some great ideas for distribution in our posts on increasing website traffic and tips for blog marketing.

Content Marketing

Tips to boost your Content Marketing

1. Update that Blog

Blogging demands lots of energy. You have to choose a topic, outline a post, create a magnetic headline, and actually write the post. If your blog hasn’t seen any activity in the last few weeks, it’s time to update it. Stale blogs fade into extinction quickly.

Maybe you don’t have time to write new content. If you hire professional writers, you can benefit from their expertise and research skills. Plus, you don’t have to do the heavy lifting.

Content Marketing

2. Use mixed Media

Adding front infographics and interactive web pages to Instagram stories and Facebook Live means you don’t have to rely exclusively on text for your digital content marketing strategy. In fact, you shouldn’t. Xerox’s research showed that colored graphics made people 80 percent more likely to read a piece of content.

You don’t have to use video, audio, images, and infographics in every piece you write, but use these tools when they’re right for the topic.

Try creating microsites as well. These small sections of your website offer information on one specific topic. Infographics and interactive graphics work particularly well for this purpose: They draw in visitors and keep them engaged, which means they stay on the page longer.

Content Marketing

3. Educate your Audience

People love to learn. We live in a do-it-yourself universe, and the Internet revolves around educational content. That’s why companies continue to churn out blog posts, white papers, and articles as part of their content marketing strategies.

However, articles aren’t the only way to teach. Everyone learns differently, so why should you create the same content for each of your potential customers?

Content Marketing

4. Conduct A/B Testing

When you want to know whether a piece of content resonates with your readers, use A/B testing.

For instance, you might write two versions of an email marketing campaign, then divide your list in half. The first group gets one email campaign and the other receives the second.

You can measure open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates this way. You’ll learn which emails do best in terms of return-on-investment so you can tailor your strategy to replicate those results.

Content Marketing

5. Establish your Content Guide

People have become increasingly perceptive, especially when it comes to brand awareness. Your customers can tell when your messaging conflicts with your professed values, goals, beliefs, and style. That’s why style guides prove essential for keeping up your content marketing game.

A style guide covers several factors related to your company and brand:

  • Tone of voice
  • Linking preferences
  • Spelling and grammar specifics
  • Logo styling and colors
  • Font preferences
  • Overall goals (e.g. to encourage, entertain, or educate)
  • Image preferences

Content Marketing

6. Optimize your Content

SEO optimization isn’t dead, despite what you might have heard. Just like other aspects of digital content marketing, SEO continues to evolve, and it remains relevant.

Instead of stuffing your content with keywords, use long-tail keywords sparingly. Choose specific actionable keywords that enjoy low competition and high search volume. They’re harder to find but more valuable for your content. However, don’t forget that people trump search engines. Write for your audience—not for Google.

Tips to Launch a Successful Google AdWords Management in 2019

Life is a Big Question that even Google can’t answer.

Google AdWords is a powerful platform, especially for small businesses. If you know the cost and margin of your product then Google Ads is not difficult. In 2000, when the tech crunch was in full effect, an ambitious search engine company. Therefore it was name Google and launch the beta version of Ads with just 350 advertisers. 15 years later, Google had earned nearly $52 billion in net annual ad revenue. There is no doubt that Google Ads is one of the most impressive success stories in tech history. And it’s largely responsible for Google’s $600 billion-plus valuation. Google Ads has been this successful thanks in large fact that it’s one of the most cost-effective advertising methods for companies.

How Does Google Ads Work?

Google AdWords is a marketplace where companies bid on keywords to have their website show at the top of the search. However, the highest bid doesn’t always win. It always ensures that the user experience remains high. They will combine the quality score along with the bid amount. The person with the highest quality score and bid amount win.

Well because it can be challenging to set up a Google Ads campaign. Google introduced Google Adwords (now Google Ads) 18 years ago in 2000.  However, the essence of Google Ads has not changed in the last two decades. Google has become a staple of the marketing community.

To get you started, here are some of the key steps you should take if you want to maximize your next Google AdWords Management.

Adwords Step 1: Understand What AdWords Is For

Before investing a single dollar into an AdWords campaign, it’s important to understand its strengths and weaknesses. AdWords is excellent for highly target, measurable and rapid results that lend well to lead and sales generation. AdWords requires a significant and ongoing investment, and every impression or click is paid for. This is compound by the fact that brand awareness is difficult to measure on the AdWords platform. When designing your campaign, keep the platform’s strengths and weaknesses in mind, and save brand awareness for your other marketing efforts.

AdWords Step 2: Research and Understand Your Target Audience

At this point, you still should not have invested a single dollar into AdWords. Instead, you need to invest the time and resources to fully understand your audience. Look at the types of sites your target audience spends time on: What style of language do those sites use? What do they look and sound like? Which competitors are running effective ad campaigns? It is typically not a cost-effective tool for brand awareness.

AdwordsStep 3: Have a Specific Goal for Each Campaign

It’s easy to get overly ambitious with an AdWords campaign, particularly if you’re planning to spend a significant portion of your marketing budget. However, it’s imperative that you choose one specific goal for each campaign. It is typically not a cost-effective tool for brand awareness. Doing so will dramatically improve the ROI of the campaign.

AdWordsStep 4: Create a Targeted Landing Page for Your Ad

Perhaps the biggest and most common mistake companies new to AdWords make is directing traffic from their paid ads to the home pages of their sites. Many times, these companies invest in ads, find they aren’t getting results, and write off AdWords as a waste of money. In reality, home pages are a terrible place to direct traffic. Think about it this way: Users are looking for a specific thing when they search. By directing them to your home page which likely has at least a dozen different elements and options on it — you’ve simply wasted their time. Instead, you need to build highly targeted landing pages that directly address the query the user entered into Google. Landing pages should always be single-purpose. There is one conversion goal and a clear path to that goal for the user to follow.

AdwordsStep 5: Create Lots of Versions of the Ad Copy

Before you start your campaign, you’ll want to create a lot of versions of the ad copy as many as you can produce, but at least 10. Slight changes in ad copy can have a significant impact on conversion rates. By testing lots of variations at the same time, you can quickly determine which versions convert best. Simply break your ad budget into smaller segments, and assign the budgets to each version of the ad. Be prepared to spend a relatively large amount upfront. The data you gather at the beginning allows you to focus your campaign on the versions of your ad that work best.

AdWordsStep 6: Verify Positive ROI

When you started your campaign, you set specific goals. Once the campaign is up and running, verify that you are, in fact, generating the positive ROI you projected. Take the amount you are paying per click and multiply it by the percentage of clicks that convert. Compare that cost to whatever profit model you want anything from the profit margin on a single product to your estimated lifetime value of a customer.

AdWordsStep 7: Test, Retest, and Retest Again

The work of an AdWords marketing campaign is never done. Once it’s up and running, you’ll want to constantly make adjustments. Try small variations on ad copy, keywords, landing pages and anything else you can think of to see what works and what doesn’t. Even a small improvement in ROI can make a big difference in the long term, so keep at it.

Effect of Panda Update on SEO

Google Panda Update is an update made by Google’s search results ranking algorithm. It was first released in February 2011. Panda algorithm was originally created to filter out the low-quality websites from search engine results. This update enable to make higher-quality websites for better ranking. Unlike common belief, the name “Panda” was less named after the gentle panda bear animal. Instead after Google engineer Navneet Panda, who originally developed the technology that created and implemented the algorithm update.

There were a variety of search engine updates leading up to February 2011, but Google Panda was one of the leading algorithm updates that shows the way to a new and better Google search tool and by affecting approximately 12 % of search engine results.

Panda Timeline

How do the Google Panda Algorithms work?

The Google Panda algorithm is a heuristic algorithm i.e; it scans a large data set and looks for specific types of solutions to questions or problems. What may be revolutionary about the Panda algorithm (I believe) is that (I think) it seeks to eliminate or bypass unnecessary comparisons. The computations, thus reducing the overall number of calculations required to find the best match for a specific desired solution.

Google Panda Algorithms

What Google needed to do was develop a set of ranking signals and/or weights that would help them separate Websites into “High Quality” and “Low Quality” sites. The Quality Rater Survey was apparently used to divide a pool of secretly selected Websites into such a segregated plane. The Google engineers then turned Panda loose on their immense volumes of data about Websites with the goal of finding the best grouping of signals and weighted values for those signals that would produce the closest match to the quality raters’ collective choices.

Through the many public iterations, Google appears to have been changing the pool of Websites that are used to determine what mix of signals and weights should be used to determine a Web (page/site)’s Panda score. This score is probably added to the PageRank.

Panda update changes

Hence, your “Panda score” is assign to individual pages, and cumulatively enough pages on your website. Your Website may be  “drag down” the rest of your site, a possible scenario that Googlers acknowledge.

What is the Effect of Panda Update on SEO?

Publishing content just for the heck of traffic is not a good idea. This is the main reason why Google made the update because a lot of sites take a lot of content just for them to attract more visitors from the search engines to go to their site and give some impressions and clicks to the ads.

They don’t really care about the quality of the content as much as the traffic they are getting from it. We have to always keep in mind that people want real, useful, quality content and Google is just trying its best to deliver us that which we desire.

You should be more mindful of the things that you publish. Make sure it’s unique, original and helpful to people. Don’t make articles just to suck-up to search engines as some people do. If you have local content farming websites, try to look at which keywords: you could grab from them when the Panda update is implemented in your country.

In the end, SEO is a zero-sum game. If the content farms are getting a kick off the SERPs, then the content producers get to rank higher. Take this opportunity to do so.
